Weekly arrivals in our 7 liquidation centers

New bikes at liquidation prices

Our bikes are inventory surplus and end-of-season stock from major retailers: brand-new bikes, boxed or assembled, sold well below their regular price. Arrivals are seasonal — most stock lands in spring and moves fast. If you want a bike for summer, the best selection is in April-May.

Mountain, city, BMX or kids'?

A mountain bike handles gravel and trails with its wide tires; a hybrid or city bike favours an upright, comfortable ride for bike paths and errands; BMX is the kids' favourite for its toughness. For children, size is chosen by wheel — not by age alone: seated on the saddle, a child should touch the ground with both feet.

How much does it cost at Boom?

Expect kids' bikes from around $79, and adult bikes commonly between $149 and $399 depending on type and size — often half the regular retail price. The exact assortment depends on the arrival: call your store for sizes and models in stock.

Check these three things before you leave

A liquidation bike is new, but give it a once-over before leaving the store: saddle height adjusted to your leg, brakes that bite firmly, and tires inflated to the pressure printed on the sidewall. Our teams can adjust the saddle and handlebar on the spot — just ask.

PLEASE NOTE

Boxed bikes require partial assembly (handlebar, pedals, front wheel). Bring basic tools or ask in store about assembly options.

Which bike size for which age?

For a child, bike size is measured by wheel diameter. Age is a guideline: the real reference is the child's height — seated on the saddle, both feet should touch the ground.

WheelsAge rangeChild's height
12 in2 to 4 years85 to 100 cm
16 in4 to 6 years100 to 115 cm
20 in6 to 9 years115 to 130 cm
24 in9 to 12 years130 to 145 cm
26 in and up12+ and adults145 cm and up

When in doubt between two sizes, take the smaller one: a bike that's too big is hard to control, while a slightly small one stays usable by raising the saddle.

Bike frequently asked questions

What bike size does a child need?

Bike size is chosen by wheel: 12 in. for ages 2 to 4 (85 to 100 cm), 16 in. for ages 4 to 6 (100 to 115 cm), 20 in. for ages 6 to 9 (115 to 130 cm), 24 in. for ages 9 to 12 (130 to 145 cm), and 26 in. and up from age 12. Sitting on the saddle, the child should touch the ground with both feet.

What bikes does Boom Liquidation carry?

Boom Liquidation gets bikes for adults and children, for example mountain bikes and kids' bikes with training wheels. Models and sizes vary with each arrival and from store to store.

Do Boom Liquidation's bikes come with a warranty?

Yes. Bikes sold at Boom Liquidation come with a 12-month warranty. They are not refunded or exchanged if you change your mind: a defect is covered by the warranty.

Do the bikes come assembled?

Some bikes are sold boxed and need partial assembly (handlebars, pedals, front wheel). Have basic tools on hand, or ask in store.

Can I reserve a bike by phone?

Yes. Call the Boom Liquidation store to have a bike set aside; if the size you want is at another Boom store, the bike can be transferred.
