Weekly arrivals in our 7 liquidation centers

Quebec's refurbished wine cooler specialist

Our wine coolers are open-box units and returns from major retailers, restored and backed by a 12-month Danby warranty. Every unit is plugged in and tested before it hits the floor: compressor, thermostat and door seal are checked one by one. Inventory changes with every arrival — from small countertop formats to full-size wine cabinets.

Single zone or dual zone?

A single zone keeps every bottle at the same temperature: perfect if you mostly drink red, or mostly white. Dual zone splits the cooler into two independently controlled compartments — whites at 7-10°C below, reds at 14-18°C above. If you regularly serve both, dual zone is worth the price difference; otherwise, single zone gives you more bottles for the same money.

How much does it cost at Boom?

Expect to pay from $149 for a 12-to-18-bottle countertop model, around $249 for a 28-to-38-bottle unit, and $349 to $599 for large formats of 50 bottles and up — often less than half the regular big-box price. Prices move with every arrival: call your nearest store for today's price and availability.

Compressor or thermoelectric?

Thermoelectric cooling is silent and vibration-free — ideal in a living room — but loses efficiency when the room gets warm. A compressor holds its temperature even in summer and suits larger formats. Also check for sliding wooden shelves, LED lighting and a UV-resistant glass door: most of our Danby models have them.

Which capacity do you need?

Wine cooler capacity is counted in standard 750 ml bottles, lying down. Magnums and Burgundy bottles take more room: allow about 20% margin if your collection includes them.

In dual-zone models, real capacity drops by about 10% because of the divider between compartments.
